"Therefore, at the heart of the meaning of work is creativity. If you are God, your work is to create out of nothing. If you are not God, but like God - that is, if you are human - your work is to take what God has made and shape it and use it to make [H]im look great." ~John Piper

Hello. My name is Danielle, and I am a young woman attending college at a Christian university located on the East Coast. Though, as I do reside on the opposite coast, all my classes are done online. A huge blessing that I sometimes take for granted.
Specifically, I am in my third year of university (junior year! Yay!), majoring in English and Writing: Creative Writing. My dream is to be a Christian literary writer, which is the path the Lord Jesus set me on twenty-two and a half years ago. Therefore, I strongly believe we all have a dream inside of us that is placed there by our Creator-Redeemer-King for a reason.
For a few years, Faithfully His and Fearlessly Me: From a Broken Girl to a Redeemed Princess has been merely an idea floating around my head. Something that could be a safe, whimsical, and faith-empowering place to grow in faith and spiritual strength, learn about and emulate true beauty and authenticity, and develop as a creative writer (or any kind of artist, for that matter). Personally, I was terrified to begin. What ifs filled my head, mostly about not being good enough and if anyone would even read what I write and create.
Yet, I am done living in fear of my calling. Being Faithfully His means I am also Fearlessly Me, so here I am stepping out in faith. Along this journey through creative blog writing, you can expect to read about my search for real, true feminine beauty and strength and my struggle to fit in or be unique, different, and authentic. Ups and downs and lessons I have learned (or continue to learn). All while actively observing how everything I have experienced thus far connects back to Jesus Christ and how much I desperately need Him, even after surrendering my life to Him as my Lord and Savior. Finally, you will also read some of my creative work (a few poems and short-short stories) and a few tips of the trade I pick up from my classes to encourage your own creativity.
This blog has every intention of establishing an encouraging and prayerful creative community. I like to think of this creative corner as a place for all things theology, life, literature, and art. Think of it as living, breathing literary theology.

This is Simply the Beginning...
I have always wanted to do ministry of some kind. Specifically for women and young girls. My heart longs to create a women's ministry that feels safe, whimsical, and faith-empowering. A place to grow biblically/spiritually and ask questions without fear of looking dumb for asking questions that may make our personal faith look weak, learn about and emulate true beauty and authenticity, and develop as a creative writer (or any kind of artist, for that matter).
Likewise, I pray a blessing of peace, comfort, strength, compassion, and health over you. May the Lord's face shine upon you, and may you feel His never-ending grace wash over you.
Are you feeling spiritually exhausted? Comment down below for prayer. If you do not feel comfortable making your request public, please click the Contact button in the upper right corner and reach out to me privately. You do not have to feel or be alone in whatever you are facing in this season of life. You belong here.
Please leave a comment introducing yourself and/or any questions or ideas about Jesus, beauty and strength, or authenticity and storytelling you want me to discuss in a future post.
Faithfully His and Fearlessly Me,
Danielle
